This will be a series! I have so many ideas and things to share, it’s just too much for one post.
Pt 1
Spring break is here which means the kids have met their limit of school, mom is stressed out planning and packing, and dad is probably mowing the yard. Or is that just us?
For us, this year is going to be insane! We have several major trips coming up (with and without the kids!) that will require a lot of planning and list making on my end. I get pretty anxious and stressed leading up to traveling, especially on planes. And over the years I have become pretty good at making extensive lists so I don’t forget anything. Although… I’ll still leave something behind! Having children in the mix definitely adds to the stress and list making. From IPads to coloring books to snacks. Let’s face it, you’re a pack mule. And I am here to help make it easier!
I will share some ideas and items with you that have really changed how I travel whether it be with a friend, husband or the whole crew.
Travel must have items:
I went on a trip a few years back with a girlfriend to Italy and was in dire need of new luggage. She and I are both review junkies and tend to be on the same Ad loops in social media lol! After some extensive research, we landed on Away luggage. Their customer service is amazing and the quality of the bags has been exactly what I was looking for. I have their XL and the larger size carry on. I also have their Everywhere bag. It comes in handy for all of those things when flying. IPad, passports, chargers, books, snacks… all of the things get thrown in this bag.
Packing cubes are definitely a must, but these compression cubes are great! You add your clothes and the second zipper makes the cubes shrink. It’s fantastic. I also want to use the vacuum seal bags for travel to see if I can make it all fit into a carry on! I will report back this summer.
After the pandemic, I was next level germophobe. So you can imagine an airplane was not top of my list of places I wanted to be. I didn’t want to be “that” person wearing gloves so I opted for a more discreet option. These airplane pockets are great! They hold all of your items without ever having to touch the seat pocket. This will also come in handy for those of you who tend to leave things in those pockets (not me talking about my husband…).
I know, I know… everyone has the belt bag from LuLu. But, it really is important when traveling. Especially with little people! This keeps your hands free and out of reach of thieves that could be lurking nearby. I have the regular size bag and it holds much more than you think.
Like coffee while walking through the airport but hate carrying it along with the other million things in your arms? A drink caddy for your carry on is the way to go! It slides right over the handle and two spots for drinks. It also has a zipper pocket on the back side for easy access to your passport or boarding passes.
Now for the small, but important things. Eye patches/mask, eye masks and external chargers. Do not leave home without them! These are my absolute favorite eye patches by Wander Beauty. They glide right on and stay put. My under eyes feel so soft and I look refreshed afterward. And the Slip eye mask is great for your hair and eyelashes. It doesn’t leave marks on your face and you can wear your Wander eye masks underneath. The chargers here are really great! They hold their charge for the longest time and you can get them in multiple colors.
I have added all of these items and more in my LTK profile for you! Click the photo below and it will take you to the page where you can find all of these items to purchase.
If you have any questions, comments, or reviews of your own, please send them to me! Happy vacationing!
